A verseny célja a kezdő rádióamatőrök versenykészségének kialakítása; a [[CW]] és az [[SSB]] adásmódok használatának ösztönzése; a területi minősítések, a [[New Budapest Award]] diploma és a "Budapest URH bajnoka" cím elnyerésének, minősítési pontok megszerzésének biztosítása.<br />
